Emergency and Medical Services

• For   Police, Fire or Ambulance – dial 999 or 911
• Virgin Islands Search & Rescue, (VISAR), is a voluntary organisation that provides a 24hour marine search and rescue service in BVI waters.  Dial 767 from any telephone or call on VHF radio channel 16
• Peebles Hospital, Road Town (tel: 284-494-3497) is the main hospital that serves the entire BVI, with ambulance, surgical, x-ray and laboratory facilities and a 24 hour Emergency Department
• Government health clinics offer basic medical services on Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke and Anegada
• Private medical clinics with doctors on duty are in Road Town at the B & F Medical Complex, the Eureka Medical Clinic and the Bougainvillea Clinic
• There are no dangerous animals or snakes in the BVI!
